TrustTrade Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Blue Eagle Works LLC d/b/a TrustTrade ("TrustTrade," "we"), a Florida company. By using the TrustTrade website, as a customer or a business, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What TrustTrade is

TrustTrade is a directory that connects customers with independent home-service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical and more) in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. Before a business is listed, we check its Florida license in the state DBPR database (where the trade requires one), read the expiry date on its insurance certificate, confirm its phone number with a texted code, and have the business and the owner's ID verified through Stripe when it sets up payouts. We repeat these checks every few months.

TrustTrade is a connector, not the contractor. The businesses are independent. They are not our employees or agents. We don't do, supervise or guarantee the work. Our checks are not a guarantee of any business or job, and you can check any contractor's license yourself at myfloridalicense.com.

2. How it works

  1. A customer requests a pro and gets a Request #.
  2. The business sets a price. When the customer confirms it, the job is booked.
  3. When the work is finished, the business marks the job done and the customer confirms it. That creates a Verified Job ID, which unlocks one review.

Payment: where a business has set up online payouts, customers can pay for a job through TrustTrade by card or bank account. Payments are processed by Stripe and paid out to the business after TrustTrade's fee and the processing fee, which the business pays. Otherwise the customer pays the business directly. Price, quality, warranties and any damage are between the customer and the business. We may try to help with a dispute, but we don't have to.

3. Your use of the site

  • You must be at least 18.
  • Give accurate information.
  • Keep your private job and business links private. Anyone with your link can act as you.

4. Keep everything on TrustTrade

For everyone's protection, all communication between customers and businesses happens in the TrustTrade chat. You may not share or ask for phone numbers, emails, links, social media handles or any other way to talk outside the app.

  • Messages with contact info are blocked automatically and are not delivered.
  • 1st attempt: warning.
  • 2nd attempt: your account is suspended automatically.
  • We may reinstate a suspended account or remove it permanently.

5. Reviews

  • Only a customer with a Verified Job ID can leave a review, one per job.
  • After each job, the customer rates it before booking their next job on TrustTrade. A review never changes what the business is paid, and we show every review that follows these rules, good or bad.
  • Reviews must be honest and about your own experience.
  • No paid, fake or rewarded reviews, and no contact info in reviews.
  • We may remove reviews that break these rules. We don't edit reviews to change what they say.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • break the law or use the site for fraud;
  • give false information or pretend to be someone else;
  • harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
  • spam, scrape or copy the site or its listings;
  • hack, overload or interfere with the site;
  • try to get around the contact filter, a suspension or a removal;
  • post anyone's private information.

7. Businesses

Listed businesses also accept the TrustTrade Pro Terms when they apply. If the Pro Terms and these terms conflict, the Pro Terms control for that business.

8. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove any account, listing or review that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

9. No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no promises about any business, any job, or the site always working.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • TrustTrade is not liable for any work, property damage, injury or loss caused by a business, a customer, or anything that happens between them.
  • TrustTrade is not liable for indirect, incidental or lost-profit damages.
  • Our total liability to you for anything related to TrustTrade is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid TrustTrade in the 12 months before the claim.

11. You cover us

If your use of the site or your breaking these terms leads to a claim against TrustTrade, you agree to cover our costs and losses, including reasonable attorney's fees.

12. Notifications

Push notifications are optional. You can turn them off anytime in your browser or phone settings.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

14. Florida law

Florida law governs these terms. Any dispute goes to the courts in Broward County, Florida.
